Dive into the heart of a unique trekking adventure along the old railway track of northwest Tunisia 🚂🌄


This expedition will take you through stunning landscapes while immersing you in the local culture. You’ll spend nights with local hosts and under the stars in wild bivouacs, all complemented by regional breakfasts and dinners. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to learn survival cooking, an essential aspect of the wilderness experience.


This adventure is also a personal and collective challenge, offering you the chance to step out of your comfort zone for four days, while staying in good physical shape and well-equipped. Explore the rich wildlife and flora ecosystems of Hedhil, Mogods, and Kroumirie, and discover the history of Tunisia's railroads.

📄 Program:


Day 1: +/- 22 KM

  1. 05h30: Meet at Agil kiosk - City Center.
  2. 06h30: Departure to Mateur.
  3. 08h00: Arrival in Mateur and preparation for the adventure.
  4. 09h00: Start the adventure with trekking bags. Lunch break after 10 km of walking, the rest of the day will be without trekking bags.
  5. 17h00: Camping with local hosts.

Day 2: +/- 28 KM

  1. 06h00: Wake-up and traditional breakfast (Eggs, olive oil, honey, Tabouna, Mlewi, traditional cheese, coffee).
  2. 06h30: Breakdown of the camp.
  3. 07h30: Start of the trek with trekking bags. Resupply break after 7 km. Lunch break at the 14th km. The rest of the day will be without trekking bags.
  4. 17h00: Camping in the Sejnane forest (with local hosts).
  5. 19h00: Traditional dinner (Couscous with regional chicken, green salad, seasonal fruits, tea).

Day 3: +/- 34 KM (This day will be without trekking bags)

  1. 05h00: Wake-up and free breakfast.
  2. 05h30: Breakdown of the camp.
  3. 06h00: Start of the walk with bags until the 8th km. Resupply at the 8th km. Culinary tasting (Ghrayef) at the 17th km. Resupply at the 24th km.
  4. 18h00: Wild bivouac.


Day 4: +/- 18 KM of walking with bags

  1. 06h00: Wake-up and free breakfast.
  2. 06h30: Breakdown of the camp.
  3. 07h00: Start of the trek with bags. Resupply at the 6th km.
  4. 14h00: End of the railway trekking 14 km from Tabarka.
  5. 14h30: Group lunch and celebration of our adventure.
  6. 16h00: Departure to Tunis.
  7. 18h30: Expected arrival in Tunis.

Resupply breaks are 30 minutes long – please respect the time!

Cancellation within 48 hours before the event will not be refunded.

The distances for each day may increase or decrease by 1 or 2 km, depending on unforeseen circumstances.

For any information regarding the TEAM, we will create a private group for our online meetings and have a small coffee meeting one week before the adventure.

Trekking difficulty level: 4/5 (This trekking requires an intense rhythm at times and is intended for those in good physical and mental condition. We accept beginners, provided they participate in our preparation programs).
